Experience & Education
Administrative Law Judge
Eric Zaidins has presided over thousands of hearings as an ALJ. He is currently serving as an ALJ for the Nassau, Dutchess, and Putnam Counties' Departments of Health in public health and environmental law matters. He has also served as an ALJ for the Westchester County for the Departments of Health, Consumer Protection, and its Taxi and Limousine Commission.
Hearing Officer
Zaidins has conducted hundreds of hearings as a Hearing Officer for numerous agencies, municipalities, and school districts, including the NYS Thruway Authority, the NYS and the NYC Education Departments, Westchester County, the NYS Office of the Comptroller—NYS and Local Retirement System, the City School District of Mt. Vernon, Greenburgh Central School District No. 7, Ossining Central School District, South Orangetown Central School District, Nanuet Union Free School District, Ulster County BOCES, Westchester County Department of Social Services and Department of Public Safety, and Arlington Central School District.
Arbitrator
A public arbitrator panel member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) selected in numerous cases to serve as arbitrator.
Mediator
Eric Zaidins has over 25 years experience successfully assisting parties in resolving their disputes, both in litigation matters and as part of an alternative dispute resolution process. He has over 100 hours of mediation training and completed divorce mediator training with the NYS Office of Court Administration, and mediator training with Victim Services, Inc.'s Project S.T.O.P.
Referee
Previously served as a referee by appointment from the NYS Supreme Court, 9th Judicial Circuit, Orange County, New York.
Professional Affiliations
Zaidins is a Past-President of the New York State Administrative Law Judges Association, and is also Chair of its Technology Committee and a member of the Committee on Continuing Legal Education. He is also member of the National Association of Administrative Law Judiciary.
